Meet LaDàna

In Ghana, among the Akan people, particularly the Ashanti and tribe, “Nana” is used as the title of a monarch to signify their status. The stool name of kings and queens is always preceded by Nana.

In honor of this, I have donned the moniker of “Nana LaDàna“. It signifies how I view myself; as the ruler of my life and my brand.

LaDàna is an ambitious and results-driven and bilingual Communications Director with over 10 years of extensive experience in user-experience (UX) design, public relations (PR), project management, crafting press releases, media training, media relations, media placements, crisis management, and marketing strategy. She is also the Founder and Executive Director at MyFairyGodParents.org: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in the Los Angeles metro area. She is currently in development and fundraising for the nonprofit’s first documentary film series project (#FKLMdoc), which is dedicated to providing a platform that highlights and uplifts justice-impacted teens and young adults.

As a content creator, her work includes collaborations with amazing brands such as Amazon, HelloFresh, Rebuild Dominica Inc, Caribbean Cargo DC & more. While she started out as a spokesperson and host, her education and professional background is in Communications. Public Relations and Project Management. The skills she has honed in these fields allows her to create sponsored content has seen unparalleled success for her clients. She is well-versed ad curating and creating. She has an eye for branding and design. Open communication & relationship development are all at the forefront of her brand values.

LaDàna recently launched TOMMIE JO; her private label designer shoe collection. This brand is designed by her and features unisex handmade designer heels and sneakers for the unapologetic collector of fine luxury goods.
